A recent graduate of New York Chiropractic College, Dr. D'Aurio graduated with honors, among the top in her class with a GPA of 3.95. She graduated with a duel degree, simultaneously receiving a Masters Degree in Nutrition. She is also certified in muscular ART (Active Release Technique), Sports Science and Human Performance. She is additionally trained in Cox Technique, a gentle spinal decompression technique which safely relieves lower back and sciatic pain associated with nerve compression, disc injury and spinal stenosis. She is additionally trained in Webster Technique, a specific pelvic analysis which gently and safely corrects sacral and sacroiliac join dysfunction common to expectant mothers-to-be experiencing extreme lower back, pelvic, lower limb pain. Webster technique safely restores pelvic realignment and reduces uterine torsion and helps relieve the physical stress of the growing baby.
Dr. D'Aurio has worked extensively with pediatric as well as athletic populations and is currently focusing her post-graduate studies in Functional Neurology. This a modern and expanding field of chiropractic and medicine. Graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, achieving a duel Masters Degree in four years.Mr Ruiz studied The Asian Triad: Acupuncture, Asian Herbology and Massage Therapy. Prior to these professional studies, he was a professional personal trainer, body builder and owner of his own gym. Combining all his training and interests, Mr Ruiz combines his talents by specializing in orthopedic and scalp acupuncture to promote healing of the brain and nervous system, musculoskeletal injuries and organic dysfunctions. He is a talented healer, sensitive to feeling the energy in the pulses and utilizing combined Asian Triad skills, is remarkable in helping to re-establish balance to the body, mind and spirit. Dr. Gabriel Padilla (Dr. Gabe) is the most recent addition to the Community Chiropractic & Acupuncture Full-time staff. He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa, the original and still premiere chiropractic college. He has extensive experience with a variety of spinal adjusting and soft-tissue techniques. These include Receptor/Tonus, trigger point, activator, SOT, Gonstead, Flexion/Diatraction, diversified and coupled reduction technique, developed by Dr Ted Carrick.
Dr Gabe is an athlete himself and is versed in sports injury, spinal rehabilitation, exercise re-education and nutrition. He brings sophisticated skills, enthusiasm and a warm, reassuring manner. Dr Gabe is also fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and, of course, English.
Dr. Sansone is a graduate of Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Sansone draws on a wealth of experience and specialties. He is trained in Cox Technique and the McKenzie Protocol, both tried and true techniques that safely and gently treat herniated discs, a major source of lower back pain. More than 40 years of studies have shown these methods reduce radiating pain and help avoid spinal surgery.
In 2000, Dr. Sansone earned a Diplomate in Spinal Rehabilitation. He has additionally specialized in sports injury rehabilitation and TMJ (TemporoMandibular Joint) dysfunction rehabilitation. These myriad specialties along with his decades of experience combine to make Dr. Sansone a practitioner capable of helping even the toughest cases. He has a thorough examination and treatment style. He will take time to discuss X-ray findings, formulate a treatment plan and provide exercise and diet plans.
In 1998, Dr. Thomas added traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture to her qualifications when she completed a four-year program at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. She creates and teaches programs on complimentary alternative medicine (CAM) approaches to pain management. She has served as a college lecturer and has also worked with multi-disciplinary clinics.
